Research Fellow
Dominika Remžová is a CEIAS Research Fellow and an ESRC-funded PhD researcher in Politics and International Relations at the University of Nottingham, UK, where her research focuses on IPE-related topics with regards to East Asia. Her PhD project examines the relationship between the positions of different Central and Eastern European states in global value chains and their respective foreign policies towards China and Taiwan. Previously, Dominika worked as a China Analyst and Editor at the Association for International Affairs (AMO), Czech Republic, where she specialised in topics related to the Chinese economy, with a particular focus on supply chains, electric vehicles, and critical raw materials. She has also held research positions at several other research centres and think tanks, including the Rights Lab at the University of Nottingham, the International Institute for Strategic Studies (IISS), and the Global Taiwan Institute (GTI). Dominika holds a BA (Hons) degree in Chinese Studies from the University of Manchester, an MA degree in Taiwan Studies from SOAS, University of London, and an MSSR (Master of Social Science Research) in Politics and International Relations from the University of Nottingham. Research interests: China's and Taiwan's foreign policies (with a focus on China-Taiwan-Europe relations); Taiwan's electoral and party politics; green and industrial policies; global supply and value chains; economic statecraft; historical materialist and Marxist IR theories
