Reid Standish is a Canadian-American foreign correspondent and editor with 12 years of experience covering China, Russia, and Eurasia for Foreign Policy, The Atlantic, The Washington Post, Politico Europe, and Radio Free Europe/Radio Liberty (RFE/RL). At RFE/RL, he served as China Global Affairs Correspondent and head of the China Desk, coordinating China coverage across regional bureaus and producing sustained investigative and analytical stories on Chinese influence across Eurasia. As of June 2026, Reid has joined CEIAS as a non-resident research fellow, focusing on China in the Western Balkans, Eastern Europe, and Central Asia.
