Research Fellow
Veronika Blablová is a Research Fellow at the Prague Office of the Central European Institute of Asian Studies, a think tank that focuses on foreign and security policy issues related to East Asia. Veronika's research looks at Chinese information operations in Central Europe and beyond, China's influence in academia, and China's strategies in the field of technology, particularly artificial intelligence. She graduated from Security and Strategic Studies at the Faculty of Social Studies at Masaryk University in Brno. During her studies, she was an intern at the Czech embassy in Lithuania and in the Czech Television. Veronika previously worked as a Data Analyst at the Association for International Affairs on China-focused projects MapInfluenCE and CHOICE (China Observers in Central and Eastern Europe) and as Project Coordinator of the Future CHOICE initiative. In 2022, she participated in the Digital Sherlocks training organized by DFRLab, which focuses on information verification, open-source data collection and analysis, and social media monitoring.
