Sebestyén Hompot

Sebestyén Hompot is a recent Ph.D. graduate in Sinology (June 2023, University of Vienna), with a dissertation focusing on the relationship between mainland Chinese world historiography and BRI cultural diplomacy. Hompot holds an MA degree in Global Studies (2019, Ghent University, Belgium & University of Vienna), an MA degree in Chinese Philology (2017, Xiamen University, China), and a BA degree in Sinology (2014, Eötvös Loránd University, Budapest, Hungary). Hompot’s current main research interests include the PRC government’s global discourse strategies, with a focus on China-Europe and China-Hungary relations.
