On 20–21 April 2026, the Central European Institute of Asian Studies (CEIAS) and the Slovak Foreign Policy Association (SFPA) co-hosted the CEEasia Forum 2026 conference in Bratislava, Slovakia. The two-day policy-oriented conference explored the theme “Geo-tech frontiers: Europe’s strategic stakes in the Indo-Pacific”.
The CEEasia Forum 2026 was fully held under the Chatham House rule; conclusions presented in this report cannot be attributed to any single speaker at the conference. This document presents the key takeaways from the panel discussions as understood by the conference co-organizers.
The CEEasia Forum is the flagship event of the Central European Institute of Asian Studies (CEIAS), organized in cooperation with the Slovak Foreign Policy Association (SFPA). This premier gathering focuses on the role of Central and Eastern Europe (CEE) in Europe-Asia relations.
We successfully managed to bring together experts, policymakers, and scholars from around the world to discuss important issues affecting Euro-Atlantic and Indo-Pacific regions. The insights shared and connections made during the conference will certainly help foster greater understanding and collaboration between our regions in the future.
The CEEasia Forum 2026 was attended by 150 participants coming from as many as 35 countries of Europe, Asia, and North America, the highest number to date. Crucially, this success was made possible thanks to the 37 speakers who shared their expertise with us during the panel discussions.
