EU-Taiwan Center

The EU–Taiwan Center (originally established as the Center for CEE–Taiwan Relations) was founded in 2022 in response to the growing engagement between Taiwan and European countries, particularly those in Central and Eastern Europe (CEE). As interest in strengthening ties with Taiwan increased, the need for rigorous analysis and informed dialogue became ever more apparent.

Recognizing that sustainable EU–Taiwan relations require expertise that reflects both national and regional perspectives, the Center has since expanded its scope to cover the entire EU. It serves as a specialized platform dedicated to producing and disseminating expert knowledge on EU–Taiwan relations, while maintaining a strong focus on the distinctive role of CEE countries.

The Center’s work is organized around three core pillars: economic cooperation, political and security relations, and grassroots engagement. Through research, partnerships, and public outreach, we strive to deliver in-depth analysis and actionable recommendations for stakeholders in both Taiwan and the EU.
