Róbert Vancel

Research Fellow

Róbert Vancel is a CEIAS Research Fellow and an assistant professor at Matej Bel University in Banská Bystrica, Slovakia. He focuses on East Asia, with a particular interest in Japan's foreign and security policy and relations between Japan and Central Europe. He holds a PhD in International Relations from Matej Bel University. Róbert Vancel is also an Executive Director of the Institute for Democracy at UMB, a transdisciplinary center focused on contemporary challenges of democracy. Research interests: Japan's foreign and security Policy, V4+Japan relations, Japan-South Korea relations
