EU-China Relations Program

The EU-China Relations Program focuses on the study of EU-China relations and the China policies of both the EU and its member states.

Our work examines developments across key areas of this globally significant relationship. Through research publications, public commentary, and stakeholder engagement, we contribute to the ongoing evaluation of the EU’s policy toolbox towards Beijing, covering issues such as investment and trade, economic and research security, and responses to FIMI threats. We also seek to bring perspectives from Central and Eastern Europe into the broader debate on, and formulation of, the EU’s China policy, ensuring that Brussels’ approach reflects diverse and representative viewpoints.

CEIAS is a member of the European Think Tank Network on China (ETNC), the leading European network of research institutions focused on China. Within ETNC, CEIAS contributes to annual reports, including analyses of developments in Slovakia-China relations.
